Missing 84 x 33x 14 inches, copper wire and bonze, 2007

This work is a comment on the how slowly the city is becomming unliveable due to its ever increasing speed, pollution and expansion. a significant number of weaver birds used to co habit the city of delhi till not so many years back. their absence is read by the artist as a kind of rejection of the city. it is as if faced with the increasing pollution and crowding of the city, they dont want to dwell here any more. As we gaze at the empty metal nest, the nest looks back at us reminding one of all that we loose in our pursuit of neo liberal progress.
